Thank you!

Wow, what a wild and woolly year it’s been! First, we want to say a massive thank you to everyone who volunteered at the mill, attended a workshop, let us process their amazing wool, or bought something from us at one of the many events we attended. YOU are the reason this year has been such a success!

We attended every farm show and yarn event we could possibly get to, had loads of fun meeting so many of you – and selling a bit of wool too! – took on two paid staff, got our lovely Caroline the Carder up and running (finally!), processed a LOT of wool, and are already making plans for next year’s schedule. But before then, we’re looking forward to being a bit quieter during the next couple of months, and hunkering down to simply processing wool during the upcoming chilly season. So don’t worry if we go a bit quiet in December and January, we’ll be back stronger than ever in the new year.

Sadly, we’ll also be saying goodbye to a couple of Highland Wool stalwarts: Janet Charge and Anna George are moving on to new adventures, after helping us get on our feet over the past couple of years. It’s never easy to say goodbye to co-workers who have been so integral to our growth, especially when co-working has turned into friendships, but we wish them all the best in their new adventures and look forward to seeing them out and about on the craft circuit. For anyone who wants to say so-long in person, Anna will be hosting the Knit & Natters until the winter break, and her final night on 26 November may even feature cake!

That night, 26th November (7pm-9pm at Ardgay Hall), will be the final Knit & Natter of 2025, then we’ll take a break until the new year, when we’ll return to Ardgay Hall on Wednesday evenings again. Follow our Facebook page to for updates.

We wish everyone a wonderful winter holiday season – remember to wrap up warm with wool, wonderful wool – and we’ll see you in 2026. Thank you so much for making 2025 such a success! XXX
